Puppy Love

I didn't attack anyone today...

But I did play with my girlfriend.

My girlfriend and I like to run, play, and chase each other around. One morning we discovered that we could get through the fence if we helped each other! The very first time we got through, I held the fence up so she she could climb underneath.

After that, my daddy and my girlfriend's dad installed bottom rails to the fence to prevent us from crawling under. Now that I look back, I understand why they did it. It'd be horrible if one of us got hurt from squeezing under there.

After they installed the rails, my girlfriend and I had to find another way to play. Since I'm a pitbull, I'm pretty good at jumping. The fence is about four feet tall, but I wasn't sure if I'd be able to jump over it. Then I gave it a shot...and guess what! I did it. It was a lot easier to jump over than I thought. Once I discovered I could get over the fence, I'd go visit my girlfriend whenever I wanted.

My daddy explained to me that this wasn't safe either. Since I now knew I could get over the fence, he was worried that I might jump the fence leading to the street and potentially get hurt or lost out there.

Since our mommies and daddies love us they installed a gate between our yards. They knew how much we loved playing with each other so they found a way for us to visit each other's yard and we love it!

Whenever it's nice out, my girlfriend and I get to play and run around with each other. Mommy and daddy have to stay outside with us though to make sure I don't go adventuring over the fence :P. There so many new sights to see and smells to smell, sometimes my adventurous side gets a hold of me.

How far would you go to be with your girlfriend or boyfriend? Would you jump a fence? Swim the ocean? Let me know in the comments!

First Trip to the Vet

I didn't attack anyone today...

But I did have my first trip to the vet!

Ever since mommy and daddy adopted me, they've been doing a wonderful job of making sure I'm a healthy puppy. From getting me up to a a healthy pitbull weight, having my vaccinations up to date, and giving me medicine so worms don't live inside me (yucky!), they've done a whole lot to keep me well.

When I first found mom and dad, they took me to the Animal Welfare Association to get my first check up. That was cool, but today I got to have my first real visit to the vet! Mom and dad took me to the Garden State Animal Hospital. Everyone there was so incredibly nice. From the ladies at the front desk, the technicians, and the veterinarian, I was treated with love and respect. Everyone petted me and treated me like I was their own pup. They kept telling me I was handsome and well-behaved like their pitbulls. One lady even gave me treats!

I had such a wonderful time at the vet today and would recommend them to anyone looking for an animal hospital where the humans are friendly and professional.

P is for Pitbull

I didn't attack anyone today...

But I did try on my dad's Phillies hat :)

The Phillies haven't been playing like the World Series team they once were, but at least they're doing better than the Mets. Another thought, how cool would it be if people could take their pets with them to baseball games? Of course we'd have to be on our best behavior like the other fans.

I just noticed that my dad still keeps his stickers on his hats. Is that still the thing to do? Do you take off your stickers or do you leave them on? Let me know in the comments!

Hi, I'm Blue The Pitbull

I Didn't Attack Anyone Today...

Blue the Pitbull saying hello

But I did create this blog.

My name's Blue and I'm a blue pitbull. Over the years, pitbulls like myself have been getting a bad rap because of the rotten apples in the bunch or the pups with bad mommies and daddies.

I'm here to change that perception. I'd like you nice folks to see how gentle and lovable we truly are. From cuddling with my mommy and daddy to playing with my friends, I'll share my life experiences of being a good pitbull and proving to the world that pitbulls are good dogs.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again!
